Painting....Doors!

I have entered THE BIRTHDAY season.  My son, Drew just had his, friend Elaine was the following day, BIL Dean is today and niece Ingrid is tomorrow.  That is just since Sunday!  Tonight we will have family supper to celebrate Dean's special day.

For a change of pace, I painted some doors but, of course, only one set so far.  Perhaps the other set will be done later today but then again, I am reading The Likeness by Tana French....so, perhaps not.
These door are actually a fairly bright aqua and are used to hide the water heater.  The color was a very subdued yellow and I thought something brighter was needed as Drew recently painted the walls a bright yellow.  I love COLOR!!

Speaking of loving color, here is my latest "pour."  No idea what I'll do with it yet but I'll figure out something.  At least it will be fun to play with!  Great colors for the autumn.
Presently I am in the middle of making a mess of a collage.  I have a feeling that it may never be seen here!!  However, I love doing something a bit different and so it is a fun process.

Would love to hear how you are doing.  I guess you have to have certain types of accounts to be able to easily respond on this forum.  I am not sure because I never have had a problem responding to a Blogger account then, again, I do have a gmail account which is probably why.  If you would like to respond, you can always reach me at vickistyons@me.com

  1. I'd love some doors like those. Everything in your house and Caroline's looks so fresh and new. Our own place is very old and would take a fortune to bring up to your standard. Built in 1876. Nice - but spiders love it too. I can't kill spiders so their webs have to be dealt with carefully.

About wheat in the last post, I've also moved away from wheat and find it helps in a number of ways to stick to spelt and rye. Hard to do though as it crops up in so many things (pizza and pasta which are so useful as a standby). Still, there are compensations. I just miss our home=made bread, toasted in the morning. Rye crispbread doesn't seem to quite hit the spot!

I'm finding your pourings very fascinating and complex. Beautiful colours, like looking into a fire and getting lost in the patterns.
