Post Cards

I'm working on two pieces with post cards imbedded.  Actually the first piece has vintage postcards reproduced on deli paper so they are barely visible.  I think that piece is finished but in a few days I may decide to make some changes after I look at it a while.

The same painting while in progress.  I wish I photographed the progress more frequently along the way.

Here is the one I am working on now. Have not yet decided the direction it will take but I think this will be upside down!  I would flip it but then for some reason I do not understand, it will not post on Blogger.

I think I will make the postcards more prominent in this painting and perhaps do a bit of stamping.

Here is the second painting that I ever started.  It has taken me almost a year to get around t finishing it.  For better or worse here it is:

Dragon Cactus

As always, I would love to hear from you and any suggestion you have are welcomed.  I realize you may be thinking "she needs to scrap this and start all over" and that is okay because it is something that I have already considered!

  1. I am glad that you continued to work on Dragon cactus even after I thought it was finished because it is really good now. Fine art indeed.
I like that postcard pieces but they are in a different category, more mixed media. That being said, they are quite interesting. I like the photos and cards and the flowers are very victorian in feeling to go with them. Good job.
