It's All in the Wording

I started a new job today!!  Actually I just went to a training session and I didn't actually know if I had the job until I was given a list of my students and my job site!  I am saying that Tennessee Technological University recruited me and that I am an TPA Clinician.  That is actually true but I think it sounds like much more than it is.  In truth there are only nine days that I will work between now and May (unless things change in some way) and I will do some work from home.  I will be working with student teachers in Knoxville, TN at Pellissippi State.   I really like that name: Pellissippi! I met a lot of very nice people today and enjoyed it very much

Here is my handbook; I have a lot to learn!

Tuesday was my day to meet my sister at the library and draw.  Our original intention was to draw from life and we do some of that but we also draw from pictures, surf on the Internet and the most important thing we do is chat and drink our new favorite drink--a skinny dirty chai!  I like the regular version but get the skinny to offset a few calories from the scone I frequently get!  Oh yeah, we usually return some books and check out some more.  It is, after all, the LIBRARY!

This was one of my drawing while we were at the library.  It is from a photo and, unfortunately, not one of mine.  This little girl had very dirty fingers which I chose not to portray.  If I intend to get better, perhaps I should draw more frequently. You may be wondering if I ever draw anything other than faces and the answer is yes but I will admit, I am very attracted to drawing faces.

As always, I would love to hear from you, please feel free to leave a comment. If you have trouble posting, you may still be in email mode and if that is the case, you will need to click on the title at the top of the page to get to the web version.

XOXO

  1. Love the drawing and so happy to see that you're using the library! And I get the "skinny" (that's my brand 'o chai, too), but what makes it "dirty?"

    1. A shot of expresso is what makes it dirty. It didn't actually sound good but was recommended and I LOVE it!

  2. She looks good. Don't know that I would have attempted her with fingers and all that hair.

As long as your work doesn't get in the way of our play ..... .;-)
