Remaining at my house were several bikes with various equipment, clothes in vacuum packs, the shell from the top of his truck, books, linens, assorted items, and a BULLDOG. Brooklyn is an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog. If you are curious about these dogs, go here. She does not like visitors and generally scares them with her barking and growling but the rest of the family has called her bluff and knows that she is actually very sweet. She is well trained but like my boys where they were young, she really wants my attention if I am on the phone! The other things about her is that she has very short hair and sheds constantly. I have become a vacuuming wild woman and still cannot keep up with the mess. I try to brush her daily but when the weather is bad, I might miss a day or two. Here is some of the hair from this morning. Remember her hair is very short.
She sometimes watches television with me.
This is the corner BEHIND my chair. A girl needs a safe place on New Year's Eve when there are fireworks!
This is sort of unusual, I am flower-sitting for my neighbor. I have enjoyed watching this amaryllis open. She is returning today so perhaps she can enjoy it a bit also.
And now for the most serious part of this post. After all it is New Year's Day and resolutions must be made. The one I am sharing is that I plan to work on my art EVERY day even if it is just for ten minutes. Practice makes better! I hope you will help by holding me accountable.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I love the pic of Brooklyn behind the chair. I am looking for a word for the year. It sounds like yours is consistency. That should probably be mine also but I think mine might be deepen.
ReplyDeleteGive Brook an ear rub for me. With those short ears that shouldn't take much time.

I loe this posting. Are you sure Brooklyn wasn't in time out in one of the pics.
ReplyDeleteOh! How long will Brooklyn be with you, Vicki? I can't remember if you have any cats. A dog would ruin life for our cat Marley - he's not particularly brave, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteIn spite of the state of your house, I think that floor of yours looks very pretty. 'Vacuuming wild woman' really made me laugh.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too!
