Not Quite Finished

The Ongoing Bathroom Project....

The bathroom is not quite finished as some fixtures have not arrived but it is very usable and I am very happy.  Soon I hope to post pics of the entire room as I think the guys did a great job.  Because of various obstacles, the plans were always in flux and all of the crew put in their ideas which made the project fun for me and I think they also enjoyed working on something that was a bit out of the ordinary.

Lots of storming last night and this morning which necessitated Brooklyn seeking out some safe places.  I added a rug for her comfort. During the night, I could tell when the thunder was approaching as she slipped off the bed and sought a safe place

Also Not Quite Finished

I recently had a wonderful time at a workshop with Anne Bagbe in Winchester, TN. Caroline and I went to her Paper Boot Camp.  We did not actually make paper but decorated it.  It sounds so simple and I suppose it really is but it was a great learning experience for me.  It would seem that something looked good but and so it was a bit scary to continue to cover it with more pattern.  I am afraid my photos are not good as there is glare but you will get the idea.  These sheets are 12X12 of various types of paper.  Now I have to decide what to do with them.  One or two may be a finished product.  Feel free to put in your 2 cents.  I enjoy hearing ideas.

The 2 above may  be finished.  They look much better with a frame!

It was fun to see how using the same patterns and only 4 colors plus black and white could produce such a variety of looks. You may notice in the first 2 that I used some pieces that I had already designed to add to the page.

As always I would love to hear from you either with a comment or an email to vickistyons@me.com

  1. Your papers are so good. It won't take much to have them be a finished work of art.
I do like your bathroom. Roomy, interesting, out of the ordinary. It fits your house and your personality. Sorry that you had to lose a storage closet in the process. You and "the guys" worked together well!
