So I started last night on this multimedia project using techniques I learned from Anne Bagby. My first mistake was in using an old project as my substrate. That would have been just fine but it has lots of texture on it that I should have sanded off before starting on the new project. Or not. I guess it is all an experiment and I'll see how or if it turns out.
Most of the page is collaged with paper I stamped or stenciled.
After glazing she is coming into focus a bit better. At first I had legs running off the page but somehow they got lost. I am not sure if that would have been better or worse! She looks pregnant which was not my intention but I think I'll just go with it! Not entirely sure where to go from here.
In a little while I'll be off to the Dollar Store where I hope to purchase some clear Contact Paper and some plastic containers for my paints. I never know the difference between the Dollar Store, Dollar General and the Dollar Tree. Is there a difference? Guess I should try all three to see.
You could almost have stopped at stage 2 - although all of the stages are interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing the girl emerge.
ReplyDeleteThat's what is so fascinating about painting - it's as though the image is there waiting to emerge.
If this comment gets to you, I should say that I tried twice and now only 2 images are showing.
