I am very excited to introduce you to my new roomie, Bijou Betty. She is always on time and has hair similar to mine. Also she can overlook everything from her perch on the mantel.

Her feet are from the ebony keys of an old Piano and you may recognize that her body is an old toaster with a bakelite knob to open it.

Inside beats a big, warm heart. Unlike the tiny, cold heart my students were sure I had!
Notice she runs hot and cold just as I do. Isn't she perfect to share the Bijou with me???
I just returned from a trip to Asheville, NC where I visited with my friend, Scott Jumper. His house is tucked away in the mountains and it is like staying in a tree house (but with amenities). We ate at some delicious restaurants and sat around talking and watching the Olympics. I had never been to an Iranian Restaurant but it was GREAT.
Today before we went out to eat, he was going to take his dogs for a walk but only had on socks and asked me to reach into his car to get his shoes. Ok, I admit, I made the initial mistake and handed him the wrong shoes.
Yep, we discovered the mismatched shoes before we went out to eat. That is Whitney in the picture with him and she is a very sweet dog.
Yep, he still has them on because he got distracted and forgot to change them before we went out!
Tomorrow is art class and I'm anxious to hear what Sandy has to suggest for my work. Hope to be able to show you some progress.
As always I would love to hear from you. xoxo
