Visitors

This past weekend my son, Elliot, made his first trip to the Bijou and he liked it!!!  While he was here my other son, Drew, and his wife, Francis, made the trip from ATL.  It was great to have them all home even if that did mean three dogs also!

Pickles (small puppy with large bone)

Brooklyn (that was her bone Pickles had)

Everyone has gone with the exception of Brooklyn who will be staying with me for a while. I am not really sure how long as Elliot was very vague on that point!  But she is very good.  When we go for a walk, she stays right beside me and doesn't bark at other people or animals.  She would not dream (well perhaps she would DREAM) of attacking her food bowl before she is given the okay.  Most importantly she lets me rub the soft velvet triangles that serve as her ears as much as I want.  Yes, she is very good...EXCEPT when someone she doesn't know comes to the house.  This girl was bred to protect and protect she does!

Rather than painting, I have tried to organize a few things and draw. These tubes of paint are stored in a vintage (I at first wrote old but vintage sounded so much better) radio and television repair box.  The problem was I couldn't tell what color was in which tube so I placed a dot of paint on each tube cap.  I hope this will work for me.  With the tubes on their ends, I cannot close the box but it is a wonderful organizer to place on the floor beside the table where I work.

As always I would love to hear from you,
XOXO

  1. I know that you liked having the boys there. AND the grand dogs. I think that I will call before I come as long as Brooklyn is there, though. That girl can GROWL!
