Caroline and I decided to have a Sketch War after being inspired by some other sisters (click to see them: Dispatch from LA and Tall Tales from Kansas) whose blogs we both follow as do many other people. So we started. Here are our first results.

Building Skirmishes
I have been wanting to get some work done on the Bijou. The first contractor I called acted interested but there was no follow-through. So I called another and he looked at the house and said he would get back to me with some estimates. A couple of weeks went by. By this time I was getting a bit desperate about my front porch as one of the roof supports was rotting. I called a handyman who has done some work on some rental houses. Evidently I called him JUST IN TIME. He purchased the needed lumber that night and left it for me to prime (what fun!) and the next day arrived with the support. When he put it in place the old one fell out.
The Bijou has a peg leg!
