I wish that I had some art to share with you. I started an art class last week but was so tired during the class that I did very little. Absolutely next to nothing but I did enjoy the lecture portion of the class.
Education
Here is what I have recently learned. If you have a one bathroom house and think you are simply going to change the tub and move a sink, the first step should be to build a second bathroom to use while the first one is torn to sunder.
Happenings
Here is the latest on my bathroom. After a week of using the port-a-potty, I finally have a working indoor toilet:-) Of course, it will not last as it will be UNinstalled to tile the floor. My original plan was to take out the ugliest tub one can imagine and install a shower, move a sink and lay tile on the floor.
That plan was ruined by a rotted floor and a burned attic. So the 7 foot ceiling, the floor and the sheetrock were all removed along with a closet.
Below is my new water closet. Obviously it is still in the making. It will have a pocket door made out out the closet door. This door will slide behind a bookshelf.
This pic shows where an old stained glass window will go. I got it about 20 years ago at a flea market.
The back of my shower. The original impetus of the project. My boys will be happy that the shower head will be above the heads. Elliot stated that the previous one hit him on the kneecaps!
I hope to show you actual walls very soon!
Keep the image of that stained glass window in mind until it all comes together.
ReplyDeleteI think that you and Caroline must have plenty to talk about, what with your own renovations and the other houses you're pulling into shape. Brave ladies!
