Bowls and Bowling

                        Bowls

Thursday I made bowls of food and took to my sister's house where we all gathered for Thanksgiving dinner.  I had said I would bring the brussel sprouts among other things but there weren't any at the grocery store so I went to another store and again no luck.  Now this is a big favorite with some members of my extended family so I went to yet another grocery where I struck gold.  What you may not understand is that I avoid the grocery store as much as possible.  It is something I really dislike.  BUT perhaps this was a sort of therapy to get me over the dread of it all!  At any rate the sprouts were good with capers and walnuts!

                   Bowling

On Saturday most of the Thanksgiving crowd plus a couple more went bowling.  I had not been bowling since I was in my teens and probably then only for a total of about 5 times.  It was so much fun even if I did excel in throwing gutter balls.  I think this should become a tradition.  Even those who said they were just going to watch ended up joining in.  I had no idea there were bumpers for the little ones--how great is that?  Obviously I need to get out more!

Hope your Thanksgiving was as good as mine.  My boys were not here on TG day but they came the previous weekend and Drew and Francis made a return trip on Friday so they were able to go bowling with us:-)

XOXO

  1. Your form looks pretty good to me, and your score was very good. The little one didn't like losing to the boys. She really doesn't get that their being four years older makes a difference.

    Your sprouts were Delilah!
